As the Days Fly By...

I can feel the house shaking once in a while..my goodness, it sure is windy outside tonight! And it is raining again...But I can say that I took advantage of the snow while it was here. Yesterday went by before I could say good morning..nah Im just kidding, it did go by pretty fast though. Caleb and me spent all moring together, doing all kinds of fun stuff. We had a hard core pillow fight, then we played 4 games of Payday, and then we played 5 pretty intense games of snakes and ladders, and after that we beaded pretty good into lunchtime..and when we realized it was lunch time we quickly packed it in and made the table before mom could get home from Bible Study. Then after lunch ,we went outside and threw eachother around in the snow for a while, I pulled the kids on the sled, and then we had a really hard core snowball fight. We all came in the house covered from head to toe, in snow, with cold necks, and rosy cheeks. It was a great fun, filled day, and prehaps thats the reason the day went by so fast. Later on in the afternoon, I prepared supper for the family. We ate a good hearty supper. After supper, I got the kids ready for bed, and then we all beaded some more..for another two hours. By 7:30 we all went upstairs and then I read the kids two books, the first one "Because I Love You", by Max Lucado and the second one, (and my personal favorite) "The Balloon Tree" by Phoebe Gillman. They are great books. And if you have younger kids, good ones to invest in. After the kids were settled in bed, I called my Mom in Florida... It is always so nice to hear her cheerful voice on the other end..she the next best person to talk to on the phone besides Jordan. Mom also gave me Jordans address, and I will include it incase any of you would like to send him an encouraging word or two, while he is in Boot Camp. He will be there until the third of March. His address is : SR. SPANGLER J.R K-173 USCG, TRACEN #1 MUNRO AVENUE CAPE MAY, NEW JERSEY 08204-5083 USA Yes, I know it is indeed quite a lengthy address, but I figured , the longer it is, the better chance it will have of reaching him for sure. In other news, today..was much like yesterday, except not really...I packed up four boxes today, with stuff from my room..It is soo much fun! And I enjoy it alot! I made supper tonight, a dutch rice dish, stir fry and egg rolls, boy was it worth the wait! Not to boast or anything ..but it was simply delicious.... man its still raining, and the tempeture is rising and , in the middle of the night..thats crazy. Im sure that the world I will wake up to tommorow will be a browny, browny greeny blah blah color. Sounds wonderful doesnt it. I love the snow for the reason that when you wake up, you see the pristine white snow, laying on the ground like a thick fluffy blanket. And it looks so refreshing, and you wake up in such a great mood. But I make do with the blah too, and wake up refreshed too... curled up in my bed with a romance novel sound really cozy right now as I listen to the rain pounding against the windows and the wind furiously blowing around...There is by the way only 44 days left until I see Jordan and 18 until I am in Florida...for those of you who were counting with me and lost count....

sounds like you had a fun time! Really nice that you got to spend some quality time with caleb and the rest of the nieuwhof clan!

Curling up with a good book sounds good right about now... I might just do that too.

You're going to be a wonderful mommy someday Dianna! And I think there are many children here in our neighborhood who are going to love you too!
