From Monday until Thursday morning we had the great privilege of having Dad and Pete visit with us. It was really really great to have them here. I think they really enjoyed being here too, and just finally relaxing after two weeks of going all over the place. They just got back from the Domnican and apparently had an awesome time! They showed us all of the pictures they took, I think somewhere in the 700's and they also showed us all the souveniers that they brought back too, which were really cool to see! Dad brought me something too which I thought was way cool. He brought me a pink tablecloth with matching placemats that an 85 year old lady in the Dominican had made by using a frame and just wrapping the yarn around it, that tablecloth is the coolest thing Ive ever seen! And its mine ! :0) It is now sitting on my dinning room for all to see and admire..I love it! Last night Jordan bought me a huge boquet of flowers because I wasnt feeling good, there are pink and white carnations, red gerber daisies, and bright yellow roses, the buquet is absolutely beautiful and fits perfectly with my new tablecloth. While Dad and Pete were here we took them on a tour of sorts through Cape May, we showed them where our church is, and we took them to the "boardwalk" of Cape May, we also had to take them to the Fudge Shop, which is a must if you come down here, they make all kinds of chocolatey goodness there and everything in the store is hand made, so I bought Dad and Pete some peanutbutter cups, and I bought Jordan some Turkish Delight which is his absolute favorite, and I bought my self some chocolate fudge. We also went to Sunset beach, where there are a few things to see, like the beach and a concrete ship built in World War 1, we took them to the light house at the point of cape May, and showed them the bunker that was there. There was also a pond close by the beach and the bunker and it had a flock of swans there. I thought that was pretty cool, because I had never seen any swans in real life that I can recall. Whenever we finished that excursion, we went home and got warmed up, because it was not warm out at all, so I made some hot chocolate and coffee and we enjoyed some of our fudge shop delicacies along with our hot drinks. Another night we went to Mays Landing, because dad forgot his camera battery charger in the dominican, which by the way is gonig to be on its way back home pretty soon, so he needed another one, so we went to Circut City and picked one up for him, and while there Pete advised us on a good Memory something for the computer, he revamped the whole thing for us and it works really well now!!! We are so happy! After the shopping Dad took us out tot eat at Chili's which was sooo good! Everyone really enjoyed their food and Corona's. After we got some sustinace in us, I wanted to go to EB Games, because I wanted to see if there were any new Nancy Drew games in which there were, so I bought 2. And whenever I finish with them I may send them over home so the other kids can enjoy them! I was sad that Dad and Pete had to go, but I know they are really anxious and excited to be getting back home again, and I think everyone back home is ready to get things back to normal, including a few things like Dad making tea in the mornings and hanging up the slingers for Rebecca's birthday! SO I am happy for them, but I hope that they will come back again soon, because I had so much fun with them while they were here!!
This morning Jordan left at 4:00 am for work, because it snowed last night, and so I guess they have cleaning up to do or something, but Jordan will be home shortly after lunch for the rest of the day, because he went in so early. Im sure that when he gets home he will take a nap or something! And me, well I just love being in my nice warm house knowing that it is cold outside. We might also get our fence taken down today, so they can put a brand new one up! The did the housing unit beside us, so we are really ready for our turn now, but it had got to be a very cold job to do...well for now thats all I have going on, I may go play some Nancy Drew now for a while and see if I can get any further in the game...
