Lifebooks...

Today, I finally started my five years worth of unscrapbooked scrapbooking...It was just one of those things that I needed to start, and once I started I couldnt stop, until I was forced too by Xavier. He wanted to get out of bed..so I had to put down the scissors and glue, and pick up the cookies and bottle instead, but I have every intention of picking up right where I left off once the little man is in bed again! I am so excited! Right now I am working on Xaviers "lifebook" which is a book that we as foster parents are encouraged to make for the kids that come into our home. It is basicaly just a photo album with pictures of them while they stay in your home. But I decided that I am going to take it to the next level with my kids and am scrapbooking them their albums, I just think it is so much more personal, and scrapbooks are fun to look at once in a while, and plus there will be lots written about the pictures as opposed to just a bunch of pictures with no names, or dates or any nice to know information like that.. I think that it will make them feel like, however brief a time they were here, that they always will be part of our family...

That's so fun! I miss scrapbooking. A lot. The family I lived with in GA did the scrapbooks for their kids...and if I ever find the time I am totally planning on doing it for mine. :)
How's your belly? I need to see more pictures!!!
I love you and miss you and Jordan and your little X-man always!

That's such a great idea.(But beware, scrapbooking can take over your life.) I just finished a 20 page book. It took quite a while. Happy Scrapping

Sorry for missing your blogs lately. But it was a nice quiet day today. That gave me a chance to catch up on the latest.
Sounds like that scrapbook is something that you'll treasure for a long time to come. Are you making it for you ? Or for Xavier.
Maybe two, that will be twice the fun. Anyway, all the best.
Love, DAD
