Holly Days...

Well, I suppose I do have a little bit of updating to do.. Merry belated Christmas and happy New Year to you all! It it wonderful to be in this New year.. I wonder what will all happen this year for us? I really actually would rather not know.. to tell you the truth. We spent Christmas in Seattle, Washington with Jordans folks this year, and we had a marvelous time. It sure was nice to do nothing but sit around and eat chocolate and Christmasy things. We baked about 6 trays of cookies one day, and Im sure that right now there still is not a big dent in them. Everybody loved them, but they are like the cookies that dont want to go away!! The only way I could think of getting away from them I decided was to fly far away from them...haha Im just kidding, they were good, but you do know how it goes, after you bake something you just totally lose interest in eating it, and you somehow seem to get filled up by the aroma of the baking... We did some really cool things while we were there. One day we went to the Pike Street Market and picked up a few cute little things from different venders around the area. Jordan actually picked up a few things that were made in Uganda, and the guy who was selling the merchandise was actually from the Jinja are , where we were doing our missions work, which was way cool. So we talked with him for awhile about the area. It sure is a small world sometimes! After a morning at the Pike Street Market we went to the Seattle Aqaurium, which was alot of fun as well. There were quite alot of different fish to look at, and there were sea otters, seals, puffins, and jellyfish, and an octopus, the octopus was probably one of my favorites, I think mostly because I have never seen one in my life before... it was definetly a fun time to be had by all. One day Mom and me spent the day together and went to a few different yarn stores, some simply darling ,and another right down snobby... (I didnt buy anything there..) . After we spent enough time in the yarn stores, Jordan and Emily met up with us and we went shopping for a bit and then we saw the movie " A Night in the Museum" (or whatever its called) and I wont give it away, but its a really really great movie and the only thing I will say is " I cant believe that Dick vanDyke plays the bad guy! I love his acting and I have never seen him play a bad guy in any movie before now! That totally threw me for a loop! Christmas brought lots of nice presents, and I was glad after all that I took a fourth bag with us...It was a really great Christmas. We got home two days before New Years Eve, at 2:00 am and went to bed a short time later. The next day was church and I got up and went myself because Jordan was to tired form driving the night before, and when I got home we were really lazy for the rest of the day. The next day we didnt wake up until 12:30 and I have never slept in so late in my life, we unpacked our stuff, and did laundry cleaned the house and then sat down and watched movies the rest of the night and waited for 2007 to come around , we bought Pirates of the Carribean Dead Mans Chest so we were watching that and didnt even realize that the New Year came, so five minutes later we rang it in with a kiss and proceeded to watch our movie again. It was a good New Years Day. That was our Holidays, and we simply hada wonderful Christmas time!
