A Weekend Away..

Jordan and I spent this past weekend chaperoning the youth group from church on a ski/snowboarding trip to the Poconos in PA... we however did not get a chance to go skiing or snowboarding due to the fact that there was somewhat no snow in the mountains because it has been so warm in this area..they even tried to make man-made snow, but it was too warm as well for that too, although there were those faithful few snowboarders on the hill..it would actually be better to label them as mudboarders because that was pretty much what they were doing, playing around in the mud! After we got all disappointments out of the way, we went to Plan B (the no snow plan) the kids went bowling on Friday night, and had lunch at the ski resort, as planned. The next day we started out with breakfeast by the pool in the hotel we stayed at, and then we had devotions. The afternoon was spent either swimming or playing games in the lobby , the ball room, or in the hallway of the rooms...After supper we took the kids to see some different movies at the theatres. Everyone spent the rest of the evening doing different things, including sitting in the hallways once again, snacking , knitting, or doing whatever it was they wanted to do. They were restricted from going downstairs by us, because there was a bar downstairs and there was a rough crowd down there that night. The night before, there was actually a situation where someone got kicked out of the bar and ended up smashing in two car windshields, and denting the from of one of the cars. The cars were also located on two different sides of the hotel, and we were very thankful that it was not one of our vehicles.This incident had happened around 3 in the morning, and it was not our kids who did it either, and I think the front desk lady finally believed us after a while. But that was our excitement for the weekend.On Sunday we drove home and got here around fourish. We got home, after dropping everyone off, and unpacked and relaxed for the rest of the evening. But that was our fun for the weekend in a nut shell.
