So what's it called?

To keep my wonderful readers interested in my blog and in my life, I must update once in a while so that you can know all of the new and exciting things that are going on in our lives right now...there is not that much ever going on, except feeding Xavier, putting him to bed, getting him up, playing with him, giving him a bath, and getting up with him during the night, which we are both getting used to now I think. Last night I was so proud of him, he only woke up a few times, and we only had to go into his room because he was rageing mad that he couldnt find his soother...so we inserted it in his mouth...instant gratification...total silence...oh what a beautiful thing it is! But there is nothing in this world better than being a memee... So here is something I have been dealing alot with lately...the names of a pacifier, seriously, how many names does one object need? So far I have been hit with these names: A soother (which is what I call it, and the name by the way totally names its purpose..to soothe the baby) then there is a ninny, a binky, a nooky and a bubu...and Im sure thats only half of the names to be sure.... Well my Xavier is calling for me, so I must go and see what the problem is, until later...

It doesn't matter what it is called, but it sure makes for a nice quiet time.
Nice talking to you last night. Glad to be able to still be there for you.

In our familly it was called a plug, which also describes what it's used for. (heh heh)

Glad you are doing well and dealing with all the night wakings. Love to you both!

I'm not sure why we called it a binky... maybe that was the brand name? Uncle Monte always had a Plug (which my parents always had to spell when they couldn't find it and he was getting nervous, as in "Has anyone seen the P-L-U-G?" and then Monte finally caught on and started asking for himself, "P-L-MY-G?" It was cute, even if he did have that thing til he was, like, 5! Of course, so did your husband... no, it was more like 3. He was a nervous little guy! I wasn't about to take away his best friend!! He had it pinned to Bino Guy, and he'd only use it in his room. I can still see him working that thing like it was his job!

Glad to hear you're all doing well. Hope that high chair makes an appearance one of these days!!!

Love you all,
Mom

I'm always glad to hear your news! You are always so positive and have lots to report! I'm glad to hear that Xavier is doing well, and you're getting used to each other!

We used to call it a soo-soo... and when I was little I was obsessed if I remember correctly. Loved it.
