Bath Time!!

I have a spare moment right now... I can hardly believe it! I am getting so much done today! Got the bills paid, fed Micaiah, did two loads of laundry, fed Micaiah, Jordan came home, rolled up his sleeves for inspection, fed Micaiah, spent the rest of the afternoon working on birth announcments, talked to everyone and their gramma who called me on the phone...
the next day
So much for my blogging efforts yesterday.. I tried. Last night Micaiah was kind of fussy so he got his first bath, which he was not too thrilled about at all as you can see. But after he was all snuggled up in clean clothes and fresh blankets, and I sang him a few songs, he was out like a light, and didnt wake up until three this morning. Advice for anyone out there with kids. If you want your kids to have a nice deep sleep, I totally recommend the Johnson and Johnsons bedtime bath. it really does work. I love using it for my foster kids too.
Today on base there is an Oktoberfest, and so this afternoon we may venture off over in that direction and see whats all going on. Jordan has watch this weekend, but at least I have Micaiah to keep me busy while Jordan is working. I also have housework and that will keep me quite busy too. I suppose I should sort of take advantage of Micaiahs down time and maybe get some of that done soon...
The weather is really changing here. Yesterday and today, Jordan has been wearing his winter jacket to work, so my guess is, that its getting colder. I am so enjoying staying in the house and getting some things done that I have wanted to get done for a while now. But today I am going to put all of that on hold for a bit, and I am going to finish baking my cookies that I started last night, ( I didnt know there was no eggs in the fridge..oops) and then I am going to spend the day snuggled up on the couch, maybe with a blanket, and knit. Oh and inbetween there a few times feed Micaiah. Well I better be off! Love to you all!

WONDERFUL picture, Dianna! (Or would the camera have been in Jordan's hands, perhaps?) Micaiah is so adorable, and it sounds like you're settling in nicely and managing to get something done, too.

Give him a kiss from his Great Aunt Kate!

Hey, good job on changing that FONT missy! :^) Now us Old Folks can read it har har!

Sorry I missed his first Real Bath! He looks a little upset about it. I'm sure you made it up to him with the sweet songs and snuggles. You're a perfect Mommy and I'm so proud of you! P31.9!! Woo Hoo!

In all his hating-the-bath craziness he is still and always will be the most adorable baby in the world. In the wee-orld! ;)
I had a dream last night that I got to see him and hold him for the first time. I cried in my dream, woke up and was sad it wasn't real, but was happy that I saw him in my dream at least!
I can't wait to hold him and love on him and let him know that I am his Tante Emi. Yay. :)
I love you and miss you all! Give love and kisses from Tante Emi to Micaiah.
LOVE.

So cute. I remember that my kids didn't like their first baths either. Then then start to love them, splash around, and mommy gets soaked. The fun of it all... and yes, don't you feel like you're feeding him all the time? Mmmmm... it's still like that around here. I swear Jason's favorite sentence is "Mommy, I'm hungry." Gotta love them.
Good to 'hear' from you. Enjoy the blanket snuggling on the couch and those cookies. Love, Tante Karen

wow. It takes me a week of not poting on my blog to get 7 comments - it only took you 3 days :P
Anyway, I should post on that blog of mine today. Maybe this afternoon after I get some stuff done around the house. How did the birth announcements turn out? I hope you'll send me one (if you have extra) even though I already know that he's born. I like collecting home made cards. it gives me ideas of things I could do.
I love you Guys!

What fun...nothing like screaming and hollering for 20 minutes during bathtime to exhaust a newborn eh! That and sleepytime bathbubbles...works everytime!!!

Sounds like you looooove being a mom! (...and cookie dough keeps for days!!! just so you know!)

Love ya, TT

I tried to leave a comment last night, but Blogger was down.
We'll try it again.
Micaiah doesn't look too impressed. I bet he smells nice now.
