Spring is Here!! today anyways...

Last night we had a really windy night. Complete with rain that came down hard and beat against the windows, lightning that was so bright that I could have probably read my book at 3 in the morning when I was feeding Micaiah and thunder that clapped so loudly and so long, I began to wonder how close to the house it exaclty was...it was so exciting and beautiful all at the same time! Today the ground is nice and moist complete with those trooper worms who managed not to drown in the down pour. I know this, because today it is sooo beautiful outside, and I decided to get my hands dirty in the garden!! I was sooo soooo excited! I planted my tulips which are poking their little heads out of the bulbs, and now I cant wait to see the orange and pink come alive in my garden! Its going to look so "dutch" when it comes time for them to bloom. I will be sure to post pictures. My hyacinth is about three inches tall now and I cannot wait for that fragrent pink flower to pop open.. that'll be a little while yet though I think. The daffodils around here are about 5 inches tall now. You want to know something else. I have some seriously hardy panzys..they survived the entire winter and are still blooming now! Soon I will be out with Jordan and Micaiah and we will be going to the local "plant stores" and will be picking up a few plants here and there to decorate the backyard again!! I cant wait!! I wish that I did not have so many things going on today, otherwise I would have gone for a nice long walk! I hope tommorow is just as nice! I hope you are enjoying your weather as much as I am, and if not, then you should come and enjoy some early spring with us!! Love Dianna

That sounds so nice Dianna. I can't wait to get to my gardens. That is, however, months away. Kids were home again from school today because of MORE weather. Will it ever stop? :)
I'd love to see pictures of your gardens. And your little sweet pea (Micaiah, that is). Love to all, Tante Karen

It sounds like your weather is way ahead of ours. Altough snowmobiling is a lot more fun when there is lots of snow. Like there is right here in Bathurst.
Enjoy the flowers for me.
Love, DAD
